Writing is not always about sitting behind a desk and typing on a laptop. Sometimes writers go outside their offices and homes to explore the world and write about it, one of this genre is Lowcountry womens fiction author. Example of writers and writers specializing in this genre includes Jonathan White, Catherine Marshall and Ben Groundwater, they are book authors, journalists/travel writer, and columnist respectively.

The writers normally take trips to places where they can get involved in outdoor activities like kayaking, scuba diving, fishing, camping, bicycling, hiking and many other more. Then they either write articles or books about how their trip was and what they did and saw when they were there. The articles are then sold to newspapers, holiday websites, and outdoor trade magazines.

They can write almost about anything related to the outside world. For example, if the visit Two Harbors, they can write about the great view the place has. Which equipment is and is not available for hire, what activities are the most enjoyable and the type of fish and flora you will see when you get there. Also, they can give an estimate of how much the trip will cost you overall.

You cannot rewrite a novel 6 times and sell it 6 times because you ll be telling the same story using different words. People won t buy it. But you can go on one trip and write more than 6 articles about that trip using different pictures you took there and sell it to multiple buyers at the same time. That is how an outdoor writer maximizes his/her profits, by making sure that he/she sells the rewritten versions of one article to several buyers.

This writing genre can be stressful at times, it is not just about going to fancy hotels and adventurous trips to write an article. You ll have to be both a writer and a financial planner. Sometimes you ll be paid less than what you spent during your travel. Now, that in business terms is called a loss. So you may be forced to go on a traveling budget sometimes, taking long uncomfortable flights to your destination instead of flying first class.

There is a misconception that travel writers have a lot of fun more than they work. They actually work more than to enjoy themselves during these outdoor trips. They spend time being attentive to detail, taking notes, taking pictures, interviewing people and making price comparisons. They have to make sure that they collect enough information before they leave the place.

Not all outdoor writers love traveling or are adventurous, some like staying at home while others have never gotten out of their countries. They don t write about holiday destinations, they write about simple things like gardening, farming, geology and anything concerning the outside world.

People who are good with words and love traveling or observing the outside world can be travel writers.
