Earthquake, tsunami, storms and cyclone. Add in your list the terrorist attack and even war. This is not fictional. You would not know when will be this catastrophe occur but surely it will. That is why, right now, you must prepare yourself.

When it occurs, one thing that will surely be affected is the transmission of electricity. Electricity is the most important element to keep your commodities functioning. That can include cell phones, stove and even on your heater. Surviving the grid going down is might be pretty tough.

The sight of your property tearing from floods and earthquake. Chances that dead body are scattered on the ground. You might not be seeing some zombie people but surely, the spirit of your community will turn into such after witnessing the devastating catastrophe.

When it turn out worst, you surely be dragged into a much more terrible state. As a head of the family, you should not allow that. You should be well equipped and prepare. That is the only way to survive this ordeal.

Therefore, as much as possible, you need to be prepared. This is the time in your life that you cannot run away. Considering things right now before it happen will truly save you someday. Here are few of the things you can do for future preparation.

Build a strong home. You must know from the beginning that your house is your guardian when it comes to securing your safety from storm and floods. Hence, it should build enough to adhere to those things. On top of that, make sure that the arrangement is done carefully to avoid getting heat with any fragile materials while sleeping. Keep your water heater lock with a strap to also avoid an explosion.

Food and water source. Make it a habit to always stock emergency food and water in every grocery shopping you make. It must be stored into an area of the house where water cannot infiltrate it. You cannot say that every week accidents can happen so to keep it edible, have it replaced every month. Store only foods that can be consumed even without water specifically can goods.

Assure to refill your medicine kit. Injuries. Those are the only minor result of these calamities. But without tending it right away, it can go severe. Hence, you shall keep antibiotics with you. On top of that, prepare an inhaler and paracetamol. Due to the poor weather and ventilation, your child might get sick.

Keeping supply from another power source. Battery and generator. Make sure that you have either of those things. You will be needing it for your flashlight, radio and communication devices. It will be a good heat source too.
